This is one of the reasons I stopped eating a lot of white rice.  Due to its starch content. 

This article speaks about the importance of fiber in the diet, among other things.

It's not suggesting you give up bread or rice altogether, but choose whole-wheat over white and limit your white rice intake.

I found atleast one interesting fact in this article.

The cool thing about the french diet is that they dont compromise on taste.

I know I said I was going to post something on being underweight but I have yet to find a good articleon that.

Welcome!

As some of you know, I am in graduate school in the health field.  I often read articles and watch programs related to health and I thought this blog will be a good way for me to share information that I find interesting.  It will include latest research findings, articles on food, diet, weight-loss, exercise, and other science related articles.  

Please note that research findings arent always accurate. It changes, as its not an exact science.  So please keep this in mind when reading anything.
